Your lifejacket is your lifeline. Ensure it's the right fit and in top condition!

To know which lifejacket you need, answer the questions about:

  • your vessel
  • your age
  • the location
  • the conditions.

From 1 January 2025, lifejackets that meet older Australian Standards AS 1512, AS 1499 and AS 2260 will no longer be acceptable in South Australia. Make sure your lifejacket meets AS 4758.

Stay safe

Learn your correct speed.

Don’t risk it. Stay up to date with the correct speed limits:

  • 4 knots max within 50 metres of another person in the water
  • 4 knots max within 30 metres of another boat in the water.

Cool your jets

Ride safe on your personal watercraft.

Have fun, but ride safe and observe speed limits.

  • swimmers
  • surfers
  • small unpowered craft
  • divers flags.
